Person with wisdom

How to be a wise man? it's something that always a'int easier and simple to explain, because me, myself haven't felt as person with wisdom yet. in someway people think how someone could be wise can be seen from various thing we do :

First is about introspection, to be a person of wisdom, very first thing is introspect yourself, try to evaluate what are the bad things in you which may people hates. get to know what are your strength and weakness and admit both as a gift from God to you.

Second is making priority. i used to taught by my teacher when i was in elementary school, my teacher said that "a good person is someone who prioritize a matter for people than matter of himself". we can start from having good priority in our life. in the nutshell, is about advance what good for so many people.

Third is be the keeper of ears and lips. here i don't mean that you have to cover both your ears and lips up with a paper or something but i mean to be a good listener for people, no matter who are they. and be a good person when you speak. because you reflects your manner when you speak. in the way we speak politely is depend on who we talk with, where we talk and, and what we talk about.

Fourth is Keep smile and thank to God for everything. one thing that very cheap to do to (at least) look wise is smiling. i remember about my lecturer advice "wise man is someone who appreciate the gift". someone who want to be a wise man must appreciate what people cultivate. especially thank to God.


that's all maybe, when i get another tips i will post more about it.

The Factors Contributing Language Development

English language as an International language both in Indo-European and the part of West Germanic has its own history (taken from an index to English by Perrin. G. Porter, 1963: 164). According to its history, it has four periods: old English (about 5-12 AM), Middle English (about 1150-1450 AM), early modern English (1450-1700 AM), modern English (1700-now) (Mc. Arthur 1992: 722, 657, 322, 667).

            It has that era and what we use now is modern English with its development from period to period which is impacted by many factors.

1. Geographical Variation

            Variation of geography contributes the development and accent used in certain places. There are Scottish English and Irish English in United Kingdom. The text produced is sometimes different such as in Scottish English for plural form: een (eyes), shain (shoes), hors (horses).

2. Social Variation

            There are two kinds of English usage based on its class of manners, social class, etc. They are formal and informal. For example: the word ‘forward’ is formal and the informal form is ‘send’, the informal form of word ‘advise’ is ‘inform’,etc.

            There is also English for the working class called Cockney in England (Mc Arthur. 1992: 226). For example: word spelling; wiv (with), ovver (other), nuffink (nothing), spelling in  sentence; I ain’t ‘ad much time ter look around yet ( I have not had much time to look around yet). (Bowling, 1995: 208, 270, 348, 374)

3. Topic variation

            It’s generally divided into two parts. The first is general or social English such as in l daily conversation in schools, shops, markets, etc. The second is English for specific purposes such as law, politics, lesson, etc.

4. Culture

            Since every country has different culture, some English words can’t be translated literally into some languages, for example: go dutch means ‘bayar sendiri-sendiri’, french leave means ‘membolos pergi tanpa pamit’, dutch courege means ‘keberanian seseorang karena pengaruh alkohol’, etc.

Those are the factors contributing the language development. The more age develops the more terms appear and it happens in every part of life with many perspectives. We can’t avoid that we have to know the modern language because it will always develop.

I used to think about how to learn grammar (tenses especially) becomes more easier than i usually do... then i made this, some books and lecturer give some advices about it...

What is Literature??

for my self  as the student of English department specifically in literature and people who want to supervise the literature, we got to know what we always call “Literature” because that is what we gonna good at and what we are going to learn about. Well, there are so many explanation and description for about what the literature is? What it used for? Is it beneficial thing ? and others mumble mumble that we can find it mostly in the paper of magazine and internet, here we go! Try to conclude what is the literature.

A friend asked me "What is the definition of literature?". he made me more confused, because he also asked about it to me who haven’t known what it is the definition of literature. Then i make you read this written confusion text here, i collected several references to find the definition out, i got the explanation which mostly appeared on my references and those all same, the extend explanation about literature is Something to describe anything from creative writing to more technical or scientific works, but the term is most commonly used to refer to works of the creative imagination, including works of poetry, drama, fiction, and nonfiction.

Literary culture became part of the community. Letters containing material that is highly maintained by generations of poets, many of which are spoken as written media is very limited, and it just like a palm leaf. The word literature has large amount to explain to be understood, literature somehow is the shape of paper, which when compared with other writings, has a range of features advantages such as authenticity, artistically, beauty of content and expression.

Some people said that literature is like wealth or even more, it consist and be composed of love and happiness, The plain truth is that literature may never make you richer in the pocket, but it will certainly make you richer in the mind.. It is a source of interest and pleasure when other sources fail. And it creates a store of wisdom which can become a reservoir of strength. It is something that has a truth to tell about people and their world, and tells that truth in a way which compels the sensitive reader to relive the writer’s experience with his own mind and emotions. The word "literature" in English actually comes from the Greek "litteratura" which comes from the word "littera" which has meaning of the smallest part of alphabetical writing.

So, in a nutshell literature means the art of written works which overwhelmed with so much wisdom and fantastic imagination and beautiful fantasies within the text.

Good night poem (part 1)

1. The night quite warm unusual like other night.

  it is cold like an ice floe from the arctic ocean.

the havens cloudy,
and the moon play hide and seek with the stars.
gotcha! Your turn now, said the stars.
any feast up there.
with the glowing ray of the moon and sparkling stars.
heed the beauty of this night.
add some precious time to accompany the rest.

Good night... sweet dream...

note : you can make this poem when the condition of the night is cold, the sky cloudy with stars and moon sometimes appear sometimes not.

2.  For the nonce…
the nightmarish of darkness make a new fangled nest,
and be ready to do nemesis to the angels of dream.
But that’s all negligible things.
the angel wont be face downed easily.
They’ll arrange our dream nattily.
In the nature of a cute smiling cats in our dream… 
Good nite n hv a nice dream

Rather Full of imagination,  it seems like tellin the story about the angel of night with the evil nightmarish who try to destroy sweet dream.

3. The candle fire wasn’t bright tonight…
it can’t make my way stride clear .
tonight the rain wasn’t come.
but I feel cold, surrounded by bad mood.
I hope the night is about to over…
and the rain comes…
because nobody will see my tears
expelled in the middle of rain.
but I believe tomorrow must have so many wishes…

Good night... sweet dream...

note : this poem should be written in the night when the rain often come before that night, and the condition is not be usual because no rain at that day. (this poem express sadness, it's gonna be good to start somebody curiosity)

4. The streets were aglow,
with so many bright light
under the cloak of night.
The moon was turning the key clockwise
to open a device melody up.
The fairy bastes so much efficacious fiddle tune
for accompany your night
and release hundred idea tomorrow
.. knit for a hope and marvels
Good night and have a ice dream.


Note : Good poem for a girl who have naturalist ideology.... whahahaha.

GOD TEST THE HUMAN!!

Life, we can call it LIVE or DIE,
from what are happening in its short time.
There are stacks of fortunate exist
life is not just like that,-
born,-
adult,-
old,-
and die.

each second has its ascrisible,
to build a chance of fortunate,
itself.

Love is fortunate, pain ans sorrow are fortunate,
luck and joy are fortunate, where and when also.
the most important thing in this life,
is not about how long we can live!
how much wealth we can conduct!
even how many love we can conquer.

but it's all about what we have done,
in our life before we leave it forever.

nobody perfect, that's what people always said.
to HIDE their fault?
to PRETEND what happens?
to SCORN their heart from arrogance?
who knows? huh...

life has two side,
bitter one and sweet one.
have a complex situation and gad dam* big problem,
broken heart, broken home,
stress in mind and psychology.

GOD TEST THE HUMAN!!

Have a joy and comfortably life,
appetizing situation in life,
fall in love, companionable family,
tranquil mind and psychology.

GOD "ALSO" TEST THE HUMAN!!

THE STEPS TO CREATE A GOOD POEM

 

As far as I know there is no standard theory about how to create a good poem. Even a good poet usually feels difficult when he is asked to explain about how he writes a poem. Robert Hillyer, one of America’s most honored poets, said in his book In Pursuit of Poetry that there is no answer for that question, because every poem has its own method of coming to birth.

Yet after creating many poems, I get one general method to explain how I create my poems. I am sure that this method not the only way to create a poem, but this is the simplest method, and I think everyone can do it if they want to try, without reference to their cultural basic: an academician or not. We do not need to become an academician before creating a poem and judge that one poem is good. But we need to be academician to give a rational reason why we have opinion that poem is good.

The first step: reading the good poem as much as possible. Note that the good poem not means your favorite one. You can agree that Rendra’s ballads are the good

poems, but it doesn’t mean that you must like them very much. There are criteria about what must be contained in a poem to be recognized as a good one, but there are not to be the favorite one, because everyone has their

criteria before they say “I like this poem”, or “I dislike this one”.

Second: try to create a poem. After reading the good poems, you must have so many ideas. Choose one of these ideas and try to contemplate it. After that, try to write all think that appear in your mind. Just write, don’t think about grammar and usual/common form first, you can think about that in the next step. This is time to write, not revise.

Third: try to paraphrase your poem using a critical theory. There are so many theory in literary studies, such as structural and semiotics. You can use these theory to test how good are your poem.

Fourth: this step is optional one, if you find that your poem is still poor, you can revise it, but if not, you needn’t.

I am sure that someone who creates a poem after learns critical theory and wants to create a poem, there are two possibilities for him:

(1)     He just has a willingness but he is afraid to try it because he has no enough self-confident to do it. Why? He will think that make a poem must use a theory and he hasn’t learnt about this theory yet.

(2)     He will try to do it, and his poem will be really poor. Why? He has enough self- confident, he has learnt a theory, but he implements the theory when he created the poem, so his poem will be a banal one. Why? Because there is no standard theory to create a poem, and when he tried to use an imaginary standard theory, his poem will be less of contemplation and will has the same form with scientific writing.

But how if you are as students of English Literature program have learnt about critical theory and then want to create a good poem? Is it possible? Of course, but you must kick the theory first from your mind. After that please take contemplation about one object or theme, and try to write it in word and poem’s form freely.

To close this simple writing, I wanna quote Mr.Danial’s words: “in English Literature program you will learn how to paraphrase literary works, but when you will have graduated and you can paraphrase and create literary works, the latter is a bonus”.

Pac-man

This is one of my first favorite game, when playstation 1,2,3 had not released yet, i played this with nitendo with the really big cassette, pac-man is an arcade game genres which has the rule to play to eat the entire "DOT" (i just can say that, because it just look like that...) the little ones and the big ones, the big one have special feature... that the pac-man can eat the enemy who always tried to come after him.... there are four enemy who always come after him and fail the "Eating project" of the pac-man ^_^, those are (Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde), if the pac-man get caught by the enemy, then a life lost.

 There are 255 levels for whole game of the pac-man which ever done by someone (if i am not mistaken) if you want to beat the score, then reach about 256 levels... hahaha..The game play are quiet simple, you have to move your pac-man trough the maze and finish the project eating, without any touch of the enemies
